Year Around Staff
Dustin L Sorrell, Managing Artistic Director - Dustin is very
excited to be joining the NLP team! He has had an enormous artistic
career in New York and across the country. Dustin was first seen in New
York City as Joey Vitale in the long-running Off-Broadway hit "Tony 'n
Tina's Wedding", and later made a name for himself when he created the
title role in the well-received, but short-lived Off-Broadway Musical
Spoof "Alex in Wonderland". He has also been seen in many other

regional productions; some of his favorite roles include Gordon Schwinn - "A New Brain",
Pablo Picasso - "Picasso at the Lapine Agile", Danny - "Grease", and multiple characters
in "The Laramie Project". In the summer of 2009, Dustin became and award winning
Choreographer for his work on "Oklahoma!" at the Murray Theatre in Indiana. Other
Directing and Choreography credits include "The Wedding Singer", "Honk!", "Kiss of the
Spiderwoman", "West Side Story", "Kiss Me Kate", and "Sideways Stories from Wayside
School". In addition to his Artistic Career, Dustin has been preparing for his job as
Managing Director for several years. Previously, he has worked for Stage One Youth
Theatre, Studio Ten, The Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Dance Techniques Performing
Arts Studio, and has served in Instructional Capacities at The Actors Garage, National
Trail Middle School, Stage One Youth Theatre, and Dance Techniques. Dustin hopes that
his lifetime of knowledge and experience will help to make NLP and even better theatre for
years to come!
